The Low Carbon Campus Project was initiated by China Youth Climate Action Network (CYCAN) in 2007, and supported by leading energy management institutions. The project aims to encourage college students to get involved in energy management on campus and push forward the building of low carbon campus.

We continuously help students with calculating carbon emission, writing carbon emission reduction proposal, as well as taking specific actions to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emission. Also, in order to push forward sustainability education in China, we help students develop leadership and skills in the field of sustainability.

Since the Low carbon Campus Project was initiated, the project has become one of the most important projects founded by CYCAN. It has expanded the discussions and actions related to tackling climate change on campus in China and increased the impact of youth leadership in society.
